"Thank you very much for your help with Lagoon's satellite and GSM communication systems. We have now completed the first part of our journey with a non-stop leg from Port Angeles to San Francisco, ~850nm. Not quite transoceanic, but 5 days offshore. Near the coast, we were able to use the Westream and connect to the 4G network with very good connectivity.
The Inmarsat Fleet One satellite worked very well. The crew discovered the ease of use, they all connected their phones to the WIFI to send messages and SMS. We had to remind people to disconnect when it was time to get a new weather forecast.
